Are you an experienced chef who loves the craft but is tired of massive, chaotic hotel kitchens? At Hotel Die Arlbergerin in St. Anton am Arlberg, we are looking for a passionate Solo Chef (Alleinkoch) for the winter season — December 1, 2026 to April 4, 2027.
You will run our elegant, down-to-earth à la carte evening service for approx. 54–60 covers. Honest, flavorful, regional food — no frills, but with real character. And the best part? Most of your mornings are completely free to hit the slopes of St. Anton.
Your Weekly Rhythm — Real Balance, Not Just a Promise
Yes, it is a 6-day week — but only for 4 months, and the way we structure it makes all the difference:
- 4 shifts per week: Afternoon & evening only — you start between 1:00 and 2:00 PM. Your mornings are yours: ski, hike, explore.
- 2 shifts per week: Morning & evening with a break in between — still time for a run on the mountain before service.
- 1 full day off per week.
- In total: many free mornings and 2 free afternoons every week — because we believe you can love your job and still have a life.
Your Responsibilities
- Independent cooking for our evening à la carte service (approx. 54–60 covers).
- Menu development: flavorful, seasonal, and regional — your signature, your style.
- Full responsibility for purchasing, mise en place, kitchen hygiene, and organization.
- Leading your small, highly experienced support team:
- A kitchen assistant who has been with us for over 30 years.
- A dedicated evening dishwasher who also handles peeling and prep.
- Lunch service only on special occasions — approx. 3–4 times per season for private events. No daily lunch stress.

- Ski Pass Subsidy: 50% off your Arlberg staff ski pass (after 3 months with us).
- Fair & Transparent Pay: Excellent salary based on your experience, plus 13th and 14th month pay (pro-rated at season end).
